Fruits of Guyana

These are some of my favorite fruits

Pomegranate

Not regular pomegranate you find in England, the segments are a cloudy white colour and have a milder taste to the intensely red ones found in England. 

Bread fruit
Believe it or not. This is FRUIT tastes just like potato!

Fatcho

Watermelon
UNDISPUTED favourite fruit.

Banana
Small enough to swallow whole.

Sapodilla
Ugly but sweet.

Five finger
If any fruit was to challenge water melon for that top spot, it would be Five finger. It is like a sweet and sour confectionery, you don't know what taste you'll get!  

Sugar Apple

Cashew
Mild and tender taste, works well as a milkshake.

Papa AKA Papaya
Ironically, its my papa's favourite fruit.

Star Apple
Bouncy texture on the outside and jelly like texture on the inside. Nice!

Passion Fruit
Perfect for juice drinks

I was told I had only touched the surface in terms of encountering wonderful fruits in Guyana. So, I hope on my next trip there, I make it a mission to discover all the exotic fruits of Guyana.
